Sands Cox Charity



Named for William Sands Cox, the founder of Birmingham Medical School (which was the precursor of Birmingham University), the Society is for Medical and Dental Graduates of Birmingham University. It was founded in 1983.
At the AGM, 3rd October 2014, it was unanimously carried to change the name of the Sands Cox Society to THE SANDS COX CHARITY.
The objects of the Charity are to support the education of Medical and Dental Students at The University of Birmingham.
The Charity holds the Annual Scientific Meeting giving the Student recipients an opportunity to present a report of their elective projects and have them published in the annual Aesculapius Journal.
 It is a registered charity (No.512347).

It is recognised by the University as the Alumni organisation for Medical and Dental Graduates.
